Sabina Schottke is an artist whose works are strongly influenced by her childhood and youth in the Maghreb.
To this day, she is inspired by the fascinating colors, rich culture, and diverse traditions of the Maghreb, and this has shaped her artistic development and career.
Her approach to artistic expression is spontaneous and intuitive.
Through her play with shapes, colors, and textures, her works express the power that she feels necessary to convey the essence and energy within things, as well as their joy and surprise.
Sabina Schottke’s painting is about freedom. She deliberately leaves interpretations open and encourages the viewer to draw on their own perception and imagination.
She firmly believes that art, in its universal significance, can connect all things alive and unleash a transformative power. A dialogue always arises between the viewer and a work—and a very personal connection creates meaning.
Sabina Schottke has reached a wide audience and lives in northern Germany.
